Greece Mobility

The first mobility of our Erasmus+ KA210 project, "Building our future with a green way," which we coordinate, took place in Thessaloniki, Greece, hosted by our partner IEK Thermis. During the mobility, together with students from our Turkish partner, Eczacı Guzın Velıttın Bekrıoglu Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, we discussed the future of green cities and designed the green schools of tomorrow.
Our students and teachers, who visited the city of Thessaloniki, Greece, as part of our project conducted in partnership with Turkey and Greece under the coordination of SCHWERPUNKT ZENTRUM GMBH, had the opportunity to examine on-site the past techniques and structures that have been done but are at risk of being forgotten, in order to make our green future even greener.
Accompanied by our host architect, our students had the chance to explore the Roses, Shadow, Water, and Seasons gardens, designed in accordance with the climatic conditions (located along the Thessaloniki coastline). They learned about the small steps they can take to combat climate change.
Our students and teachers had emotional moments as they visited the house where Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founding father of modern Turkey, was born. Expressing their gratitude to Atatürk, they returned to our country having fun, learning, improving their English skills, and gaining new friendships and experiences. This enriching mobility contributed to the awareness goals of our project.
