LTT in Türkiye (Green Economy for Future Entrepreneurs to Build Sustainable Businesses)

Day 1 – Orientation and Entrepreneurship Foundations

The opening session introduced programme objectives, daily schedule, and safety guidelines.
Participants received an introduction to entrepreneurship and green economy principles, focusing on opportunity analysis, value creation, and teamwork. Interactive activities such as the Business Idea Paper Game and digital entrepreneurship games supported creativity and team building.
Afternoon workshops guided students in developing idea canvases, target groups, and environmental impact areas.
Outputs: five draft green business ideas and group role distribution lists.

Day 2 – Art and Design-Based Entrepreneurship

Held at Cağaloğlu Vocational School, the day focused on time management, project planning, and pitch preparation.
Workshops combined traditional arts and sustainable product design, including recycling-based prototyping and eco-friendly textile practices. Each group created a pitch draft and three art-based prototypes.

Day 3 – Business Development and Media Experience

At Demirören Media & Technology School, students deepened their business models through design thinking, empathy mapping, and rapid prototyping.
A sustainability quiz reinforced key green entrepreneurship concepts. During a media and technology visit, participants observed real-world applications of sustainable production and energy efficiency and provided short interviews for dissemination.
Outputs: business plan outlines, prototype feedback notes, and media recordings.

Day 4 – Green Industry and Cultural Heritage

Participants visited the GİSPİR Maritime and Ship Technologies Center, learning about energy-efficient systems, hybrid propulsion, and lifecycle assessment. Workshops addressed green standards in supply chains and innovative blue and green economy models.
A cultural visit to the Historic Peninsula connected sustainability with cultural heritage and tourism.
Outputs: two maritime business concepts, energy-efficiency checklist, and cultural observation notes.

Day 5 – Presentations and Closing

Groups presented their business plans and prototypes, received structured feedback, and discussed improvements. The Student Green Economy Magazine initiative was launched to collect project outputs, interviews, and success stories.
A closing ceremony recognized 15 students and 13 teachers for their participation, followed by agreement to continue cooperation through an eTwinning Green Entrepreneurship Network.
Outputs: presentation materials, evaluation forms, and dissemination content.

Expected Impact

  • Development of green and digital entrepreneurship competences among students and teachers
  • Creation of prototype business models and teaching resources for future replication
  • Strengthened intercultural collaboration between Turkish and German schools
  • Foundation of a sustainable cooperation network under Erasmus+
