About the Project

The “Do Not Let Water Leave Us” project aims to raise awareness about water literacy, conservation, and sustainability among students aged 13-16. It encourages responsible water consumption habits and fosters STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) skills to address 21st-century environmental challenges.

Key Objectives:

  • Educate students on water pollution, shortages, and conservation strategies.
  • Develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity through STEAM-based activities.
  • Promote a global perspective on water sustainability and encourage eco-friendly behaviors.

Main Activities:

  • Creation of The Green Platform, a digital space for sharing water-related knowledge and best practices.
  • Implementation of interactive water literacy programs and educational tools.
  • Hands-on scientific experiments and water analysis.
  • Collaborative learning and mobility exchanges between partner countries.

Expected Outcomes:

  • A Water Literacy Rubric to evaluate awareness levels.
  • Development of a Water Save Curriculum integrating STEAM approaches.
  • Increased international cooperation on sustainable water management.

The project runs from September 1, 2023, to August 31, 2025, involving partners from Austria, Germany, Spain, Italy, Portugal, and Türkiye. It seeks to equip students with the knowledge and skills to become proactive in water conservation efforts at local, national, and global levels.
